Pop up Killers!

As the Internet grows in size and activity, I feel like I have less and less control of my own computer. While I am surfing, the computer keeps opening up new windows of my browser and advertising junk like small web cams or low cost home loans!

This past month I asked several on our staff to review the different pop up ad killers at: http://www.webattack.com/Freeware/misctools/fwpopblock.shtml

We were supposed to be reviewing separate killers but Roger Baresel the CFO and I downloaded the same one and we both love it.  Below are his comments:

I downloaded and installed EMS Free Surfer mk II.

I found that it was easy to understand, easy to install and easy to use. It doesn't seem to use a significant amount of resources and I never notice that it is working except to occasionally wonder what ever happened to all of those annoying pop up ads that I used to get.

The only draw back seems to be that it only works with Internet Explorer. I think that it works great and the best part is the price...Free.

I agree with his conclusion and highly recommend using a Popup killer to make your surfing more enjoyable!
